Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the South Bend Washington Panthers (South Bend, IN) and the host Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN), saw South Bend Washington's basketball squad hold off Lake Central by a tally of 70-67.

With the victory, South Bend Washington improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Panthers host Elkhart (Elkhart, IN) to confront the Lions in a Northern Indiana challenge on Tuesday, November 29. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Elkhart lost 78-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Chesterton (Chesterton, IN)

Next up, the Indians confront the Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 1. Lake Central will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
