California High School Basketball - University holds off Serra
December 27, 2022: San Mateo, CA 94403 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the University Red Devils (San Francisco, CA) and the host Serra Padres (San Mateo, CA), saw University's basketball squad hold off Serra by a tally of 73-68.
With the victory, University improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to Marin Catholic (Kentfield, CA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 28. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Marin Catholic won 61-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Arcata (Arcata, CA)
Next up, the Padres confront the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish (San Francisco, CA) in a West Catholic challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Serra will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Fightin' Irish come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 70-62 non-league win over Albany (Albany, CA).
