Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Person Rockets (Roxboro, NC), 46-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dan River upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Halifax County (South Boston, VA) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Halifax County won 48-33 in their recent non-league bout against Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA)

Next up, the Rockets play the Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) in a 3A Conference 25 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Person will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record.
