Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) and the host Person Rockets (Roxboro, NC), saw Halifax County's basketball squad overcome Person by a tally of 50-33.

With the victory, Halifax County improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Comets host Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Franklin County lost 58-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA)

Next up, the Rockets play the Northern Durham Knights (Durham, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Person will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 36-25 league loss to East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC).
