December 27, 2022: Coal Township, PA 17866 The Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA), 49-24 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Indians (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Southern Columbia Area walloped Minersville (Minersville, PA), 52-35, in a non-league test.
The Golden Bears now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Tamaqua for a non-league test on Friday, December 30. Mahanoy Area will encounter a Blue Raiders squad coming off a 68-27 non-league loss to Jim Thorpe (Jim Thorpe, PA). The Blue Raiders record now stands at 2-6.
