The Shamokin Area Indians basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Nativity BVM Green Wave to 22 in the Indians non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Indians now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shikellamy for a Heartland I contest on Tuesday, December 6. Shamokin Area will battle a Braves team coming off a 42-30 non-league loss to Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA). The Braves record now stands at 0-2.

The Green Wave (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA). The enter the Schuylkill County 3 contest with a 1-0 record.
