December 27, 2022: Shrewsbury, MA 01545 Xaverian Brothers Hawks (Westwood, MA) fans left the game thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their ice hockey team hold off the host St. John's Pioneers (Shrewsbury, MA), 2-1 in a non-league match.
The Hawks (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Catholic Memorial (West Roxbury, MA). The Knights enter the match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Catholic Memorial held off Notre Dame (West Haven, CT), 7-1, in a non-league match.
Next up, the Pioneers encounter the Shrewsbury Colonials (Shrewsbury, MA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 31. St. John's will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record.
