In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Andrews Wildcats basketball team scored a good 81-70 triumph over the North Buncombe Black Hawks.

In their next game, the Wildcats meet the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 28. Andrews will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 4-5 record after their 69-50 non-league win over Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC).

With the defeat, North Buncombe moves to 5-5 on the year. The Black hawks travel to Swain County (Bryson City, NC) to meet the Maroon Devils in a non-league match on Thursday, December 28.
