Illinois High School Basketball - Brother Rice tops Plainfield East
December 27, 2023: Plainfield, IL 60585 Brother Rice Crusaders (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Plainfield East Bengals (Plainfield, IL), 60-49 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Brother Rice upgrades its record to 14-0 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Rockford Auburn won 48-46 in their recent non-league bout against Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL)
Next up, the Bengals play the Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Plainfield East will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 48-46 non-league loss to Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL).
