Virginia High School Basketball - Rye Cove ripped by Central Wise
December 27, 2023: Clinchport, VA 24244 The Central Wise Warriors basketball team scored 76 points and held the host Rye Cove Eagles to 36 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Warriors now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Virginia High for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Central Wise will meet a Bearcats team coming off a 59-48 non-league win over Abingdon (Abingdon, VA). The Bearcats record now stands at 5-3.
The Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA). The Titans enter the Cumberland contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Twin Springs was routed by Jenkins (Jenkins, KY), 54-32, in a non-league contest.
