Virginia High School Basketball - Lee knocked off by Rye Cove
February 6, 2024: Jonesville, VA 24263 The Rye Cove Eagles basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Lee Generals to 56 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Castlewood for a Cumberland contest on Wednesday, February 7. Rye Cove will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 76-29 non-league win over Council (Council, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-13.
The Generals (2-17) will now prepare for their contest against Abingdon (Abingdon, VA). The Falcons enter the Mountain contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Abingdon ran past Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA), 68-49, in a league contest.
