January 2, 2024: Clinchport, VA 24244 In Tuesday's league outing, the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Twin Springs Titans (Nickelsville, VA), by a count of 52-48.
The Eagles (1-6) will now prepare for their outing against Eastside (Coeburn, VA). The Spartans go into the Cumberland outing with a 2-7 record. In their last outing, Eastside held off Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA), 53-34, in a league outing.
The Titans now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Castlewood for a Cumberland outing on Friday, January 5. Twin Springs will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 92-80 non-league loss to Hurley (Hurley, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-7.
