In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) basketball squad edged the host Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ), by a margin of 71-66.

The Mountain Lions (5-10) will now prepare for their outing against Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ). The Black Hawks go into the non-league outing with a 2-8 record. In their last outing, Williams Field was tipped by Moon Valley (Phoenix, AZ), 56-53, in a non-league outing.

The Colts now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Moon Valley for a non-league outing on Monday, January 8.
