The Buckeye Hawks basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Cortez Colts to 54 in the Hawks non-league victory on Friday.

The Hawks now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kellis for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30. Buckeye will battle a Cougars team coming off a 78-43 non-league win over La Joya Community (Avondale, AZ). The Cougars record now stands at 2-2.

The Colts (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Combs (San Tan Valley, AZ). The Coyotes come into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Combs was defeated by Red Mountain (Mesa, AZ), 79-59, in a non-league contest.
