Arkansas High School Basketball - Hector overwhelms Magnet Cove
December 27, 2023: Hector, AR 72843 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hector Wildcats (Hector, AR) and the visiting Magnet Cove Panthers (Malvern, AR), saw Hector's basketball squad wallop Magnet Cove by a tally of 48-22.
With the victory, Hector improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Jessieville (Jessieville, AR) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 13-1. Jessieville won 62-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Perryville (Perryville, AR)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Jacksonville Lighthouse Wolves (Jacksonville, AR) in a 2A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Magnet Cove will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 61-34 league loss to Bigelow (Bigelow, AR).
