Arkansas High School Basketball - Danville holds off Magnet Cove
December 28, 2023: Danville, AR 72833 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Danville Little Johns (Danville, AR) and the visiting Magnet Cove Panthers (Malvern, AR), saw Danville's basketball squad hold off Magnet Cove by a tally of 37-33.
With the victory, Danville improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Little Johns travel to Hector (Hector, AR) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 6-8. Hector lost 44-36 in their recent non-league contest against Jessieville (Jessieville, AR)
The Panthers (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Jacksonville Lighthouse (Jacksonville, AR). The Wolves come into the 2A Region 5 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Jacksonville Lighthouse was nudged by Bigelow (Bigelow, AR), 61-34, in a league contest.
