December 27, 2023: Tatum, TX 75691 The Kountze Lions basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the host Tatum Eagles to 68 in the Lions non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Lions now sport a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chapel Hill for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Kountze will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 78-30 non-league win over Sabine (Gladewater, TX). The Red Devils record now stands at 18-1.
The Eagles (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 17-2 record. In their last contest, Martins Mill dropped by Timpson (Timpson, TX), 63-59, in a non-league contest.
