Texas High School Basketball - Hardin-Jefferson ripped by Kountze
December 8, 2023: Sour Lake, TX 77659 The Kountze Lions basketball team scored 77 points and held the host Hardin-Jefferson Hawks to 49 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hardin for a 3A Region III District 22 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Kountze will battle a Hornets team coming off a 64-27 non-league loss to Shepherd (Shepherd, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 4-8.
The Hawks (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Aransas Pass was routed by Ponder (Ponder, TX), 83-60, in a non-league contest.
