Illinois High School Basketball - Maine South nips Lane Tech
December 27, 2023: Chicago, IL 60618 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) and the host Lane Tech Champions (Chicago, IL), saw Maine South's basketball squad hold off Lane Tech by a tally of 56-52.
With the victory, Maine South improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Oswego East (Oswego, IL) to play the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Oswego East won 72-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL)
Next up, the Champions play the Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Lane Tech will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 51-45 non-league win over Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL).
