Illinois High School Basketball - Niles North tops Maine South
December 30, 2023: Park Ridge, IL 60068 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Niles North Vikings (Skokie, IL) and the host Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL), saw Niles North's basketball squad knock off Maine South by a tally of 85-76.
With the victory, Niles North improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Westinghouse (Chicago, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Westinghouse won 70-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Tinley Park (Tinley Park, IL)
Next up, the Hawks play the Deerfield Warriors (Deerfield, IL) in a Central Suburban - South challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Maine South will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 54-51 non-league win over Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL).
