Illinois High School Basketball - St. Joseph-Ogden overwhelmed by Bishop McNamara
December 27, 2023: St. Joseph, IL 61873 The Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans to 18 in the Fightin' Irish non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Fightin' Irish now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brimfield for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Bishop McNamara will battle a Indians team coming off a 49-39 non-league win over Lutheran (Rockford, IL). The Indians record now stands at 9-5.
The Spartans (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pontiac (Pontiac, IL). The Indians come into the Illini Prairie contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Pontiac was routed by Newark (Newark, IL), 53-52, in a non-league contest.
