Canton Tigers (Canton, MS) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ridgeland Titans (Ridgeland, MS), 51-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canton upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Tigers host Yazoo County (Yazoo City, MS) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Yazoo County won 57-25 in their recent non-league bout against Velma Jackson (Camden, MS)

Next up, the Titans play the Columbus Falcons (Columbus, MS) in a 6A Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Ridgeland will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record.
