Texas High School Basketball - Jayton crushes Hamlin
December 27, 2023: Jayton, TX 79528 Jayton Jaybirds (Jayton, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hamlin Pied Pipers (Hamlin, TX), 51-22 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Jayton upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Jaybirds host Highland (Roscoe, TX) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 4-10. Highland lost 44-23 in their recent non-league bout against Sands (Ackerly, TX)
Next up, the Pied Pipers play the Albany Lions (Albany, TX) in a 2A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Hamlin will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 62-17 league loss to Cisco (Cisco, TX).
