The Garinger Wildcats basketball squad (Charlotte, NC), was nudged 60-55 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Grace Academy Lions (Matthews, NC)

With the victory, Grace Academy advances its record to 10-1 on the year. The Lions travel to West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Hawks in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 28. The Hawks enter the battle with a record of 0-9. West Mecklenburg lost 55-38 in their recent league battle against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC)

The Wildcats now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to York Prep for a non-league battle on Monday, December 30. Garinger will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 63-62 non-league win over Carvers Bay (Hemingway, SC). The Patriots record now stands at 8-3.
