Texas High School Basketball - Sachse nips Independence

December 27, 2024: Sachse, TX 75048

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Sachse Mustangs basketball team scored a close 53-50 triumph over the Independence Knights.

The Mustangs (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Naaman Forest (Garland, TX). The Rangers go into the 6A Region II District 9 contest with a 3-13 record. In their last contest, Naaman Forest nipped North Garland (Garland, TX), 62-54, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Corsicana Tigers (Corsicana, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Independence will attempt to better on its 9-11 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 5-11 record after their 75-47 non-league loss to Tyler Legacy (Tyler, TX).
