In Friday's non-league contest, the host River Valley Panthers basketball squad scored a decisive 63-36 victory over the Leechburg Blue Devils.

Next, the Panthers face the Summit Academy Knights (Herman, PA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, December 28. River Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Knights enter the outing with a 1-5 record after their 92-73 league loss to Aquinas Academy (Gibsonia, PA).

The Blue Devils (2-9) will now prepare for their outing against Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA). The Vikings enter the non-league outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Apollo Ridge was overwhelmed by Steel Valley (Munhall, PA), 56-34, in a league outing.
