Texas High School Basketball - New Waverly fells Lovelady
December 27, 2024: New Waverly, TX 77358 The New Waverly Bulldogs basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Lovelady Lions to 33 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bulldogs now have a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Grapeland for a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. New Waverly will confront a Sandies team coming off a 62-59 non-league loss to Madisonville (Madisonville, TX). The Sandies record now stands at 7-2.
With the loss, Lovelady falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Diboll (Diboll, TX) to confront the Lumberjacks in a non-league game on Friday, December 27. The Lumberjacks go into the game with a record of 1-7. Diboll lost 62-55 in their recent league game against Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX)
