Maine High School Basketball - Wells trounced by Spruce Mountain
December 27, 2024: Wells, ME 04090 Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Wells Warriors (Wells, ME), 83-55 in a league match.
With the victory, Spruce Mountain advances its record to 6-0 on the year. The Phoenix travel to Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 31. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 4-2. Monmouth Academy lost 60-58 in their recent league match against Waynflete (Portland, ME)
The Warriors now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yarmouth for a B South match on Tuesday, January 7.
