Maine High School Basketball - Lake Region toppled by Spruce Mountain
January 4, 2025: Jay, ME 04239 Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME), 67-54 in a league match.
With the victory, Spruce Mountain upgrades its record to 8-1 on the year. The Phoenix travel to Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME) to face the Raiders in a B South match on Wednesday, January 8. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 2-7. Oak Hill lost 78-60 in their recent non-league match against Mount Abram (Strong, ME)
The Lakers now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cape Elizabeth for a B South match on Thursday, January 9.
