Illinois High School Basketball - Centralia crushes Belleville West
December 27, 2024: Centralia, IL 62801 The Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Belleville West Maroons (Belleville, IL), 54-27 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Orphans now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Marion for a South Seven bout on Tuesday, January 7. Centralia will play a Wildcats team coming off a 61-30 non-league win over Mattoon (Mattoon, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-4.
With the loss, Belleville West falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Maroons host East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL) to play the Flyers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. The Flyers go into the bout with a record of 3-7. East St. Louis won 54-37 in their recent league bout against Belleville West (Belleville, IL)
