Texas High School Basketball - Haltom thwarts Nimitz
December 27, 2024: Irving, TX 75060 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Haltom Buffalos (Haltom City, TX) and the host Nimitz Vikings (Irving, TX), observed Haltom's basketball team knock off Nimitz by a score of 45-31.
The Buffalos (6-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Lamar (Arlington, TX). The Vikings come into the 6A Region I District 8 challenge with a 12-8 record. In their last challenge, Lamar prevailed over Everman (Everman, TX), 37-31, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Lake Highlands Wildcats (Dallas, TX) in a 6A Region I District 7 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Nimitz will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 5-15 record after their 61-51 non-league loss to Wylie (Wylie, TX).
