In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Union Area Scotties basketball team scored a decisive 73-23 triumph over the Wilmington Greyhounds.

In their next game, the Scotties face the Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, December 29. Union Area will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Lancers enter the match with a 3-1 record after their 58-25 non-league win over Hillcrest Christian Academy (Bethel Park, PA).

With the defeat, Wilmington moves to 0-6 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA) to face the Rockets in a District 10 Region 4 match on Tuesday, January 4. The Rockets enter the match with a record of 3-4. Slippery Rock won 57-37 in their recent non-league match against Redbank Valley (New Bethlehem, PA)
