Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) supporters exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their basketball team trounce the host Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL), 67-41 in a non-league battle.

The Blue Devils now possess a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Collierville for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 29. Quincy will confront a Dragons team coming off a 56-47 non-league win over Triad (Troy, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 12-3.

The Redbirds (1-9) will now prepare for their battle against Belleville West (Belleville, IL). The Maroons come into the Southwestern battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Belleville West was overwhelmed by East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL), 81-52, in a league battle.
