The Bartram Trail Bears (St. Johns, FL) basketball nipped the host Discovery Spartans (Lake Alfred, FL), 68-63 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Bears (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Evans (Orlando, FL). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Evans was tipped by Santa Fe Catholic (Lakeland, FL), 61-60, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Mandarin for a non-league test on Thursday, December 29. Discovery will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 55-42 non-league win over Ridge Community (Davenport, FL). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-7.
