North Carolina High School Basketball - Western Harnett nudges Douglas Byrd
December 28, 2022: Fayetteville, NC 28304 Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC), 47-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Western Harnett upgrades its record to 1-7 on the season. The Eagles travel to Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Eastern Randolph won 81-77 in their recent non-league game against Lee County (Sanford, NC)
With the defeat, Douglas Byrd moves to 0-8 on the year. The Eagles travel to Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC) to face the Bears in a 3A/4A Conference 22 game on Tuesday, January 3. The Bears enter the game with a record of 1-8. Gray's Creek lost 55-45 in their recent non-league game against Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC)
