December 28, 2022: New Castle, PA 16101 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Eden Christian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), saw Laurel's basketball squad hold off Eden Christian Academy by a tally of 49-43.
With the victory, Laurel improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Spartan travel to Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 8-0. Mohawk Area won 61-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Shenango (New Castle, PA)
Next up, the confront the Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Eden Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 34-26 non-league win over Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA).
