The Galway Golden Eagles basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Fort Edward Flying Forts to 29 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northville for a Section 2 Western - Mohawk contest on Wednesday, January 4. Galway will battle a Falcons team coming off a 61-60 non-league win over Mayfield (Mayfield, NY). The Falcons record now stands at 7-1.

The Flying Forts (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hadley Luzerne (Lake Luzerne, NY). The Eagles enter the Section 2 Adirondack contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Hadley Luzerne was routed by Schuylerville (Schuylerville, NY), 62-53, in a non-league contest.
