Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ) and the host Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ), saw Highland's basketball squad wallop Mountain Pointe by a tally of 80-44.

With the victory, Highland improves its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Basha (Chandler, AZ) to confront the Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 16-0. Basha won 82-81 in their recent non-league challenge against Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ)

Next up, the Pride confront the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Mountain Pointe will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Badgers come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 54-38 non-league win over Chandler (Chandler, AZ).
