Illinois High School Basketball - Springfield Southeast overwhelmed by Marion
December 28, 2022: Marion, IL 62959 The Marion Wildcats basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Springfield Southeast Spartans to 25 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paducah Tilghman for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Marion will battle a Blue Tornado team coming off a 69-59 non-league loss to Marion (Marion, AR). The Blue Tornado record now stands at 8-3.
The Spartans (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against MacArthur (Decatur, IL). The Generals come into the Central State Eight contest with a 11-0 record. In their last contest, MacArthur triumphed over Madison (Madison, IL), 67-39, in a non-league contest.
