Illinois High School Basketball - Armstrong nips Lexington
December 28, 2022: Lexington, IL 61753 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Armstrong Trojans (Armstrong, IL) and the host Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL), saw Armstrong's basketball squad hold off Lexington by a tally of 37-33.
With the victory, Armstrong improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Cissna Park (Cissna Park, IL) to play the Timberwolves in a challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a record of 14-3.
Next up, the Minutemen play the Westville Tigers (Westville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Lexington will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 72-24 league loss to Cissna Park (Cissna Park, IL).
