The St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Elton Indians to 35 in the Fighting Blue Jays non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Fighting Blue Jays now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Opelousas Catholic for a 1A District 6 contest on Tuesday, January 3.

The Indians (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Welsh (Welsh, LA). The Greyhounds enter the non-league contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Welsh was nudged by Sulphur (Sulphur, LA), 51-42, in a non-league contest.
