Texas High School Basketball - Olton holds off Springlake-Earth
December 28, 2022: Earth, TX 79031 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) and the host Springlake-Earth Wolverines (Earth, TX), saw Olton's basketball squad hold off Springlake-Earth by a tally of 41-36.
With the victory, Olton improves its record to 5-13 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Sundown (Sundown, TX) to confront the Roughnecks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Roughnecks come into the challenge with a record of 15-4. Sundown won 58-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Slidell (Slidell, TX)
Next up, the Wolverines confront the Kress Kangaroos (Kress, TX) in a 1A Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Springlake-Earth will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Kangaroos come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 48-28 non-league win over Alpine (Alpine, TX).
