The Abilene Eagles basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Rider Raiders to 32 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Eagles now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lubbock for a 5A Region I District 4 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Abilene will meet a Westerners team coming off a 80-35 non-league loss to Chapin (El Paso, TX). The Westerners record now stands at 6-14.

The Raiders (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Decatur (Decatur, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Decatur ran past Nocona (Nocona, TX), 74-72, in a non-league contest.
