Texas High School Basketball - Saginaw fells Rider

January 12, 2024: Wichita Falls, TX 76310

Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rider Raiders (Wichita Falls, TX), 58-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Saginaw upgrades its record to 21-5 on the season. The Rough Riders travel to Northwest (Justin, TX) to play the Texans in a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Texans go into the bout with a record of 8-18. Northwest lost 51-42 in their recent league bout against Rider (Wichita Falls, TX)

Next up, the Raiders play the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Rider will attempt to upgrade on its 7-15 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 12-10 record after their 70-63 league loss to Granbury (Granbury, TX).
