Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Northwest Texans (Justin, TX), 55-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Saginaw upgrades its record to 22-5 on the campaign. The Rough Riders host Aledo (Aledo, TX) to play the Bearcats in a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Bearcats come into the bout with a record of 13-10.

Next up, the Texans play the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 battle, on Friday, January 19. Northwest will attempt to improve on its 8-19 season record. The Bearcats come into the battle with a 13-10 record after their 56-51 league win over Rider (Wichita Falls, TX).
