Texas High School Basketball - Wichita Falls holds off Alvord
December 28, 2023: Alvord, TX 76225 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wichita Falls Coyotes (Wichita Falls, TX) and the host Alvord Bulldogs (Alvord, TX), saw Wichita Falls's basketball squad hold off Alvord by a tally of 61-59.
With the victory, Wichita Falls improves its record to 17-6 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Sweetwater won 76-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Andrews (Andrews, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Lindsay Knights (Lindsay, TX) in a 2A Region II District 13 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Alvord will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 69-33 non-league loss to Sanger (Sanger, TX).
