In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Triton Hawks basketball team scored a tight 62-61 triumph over the Apex Cougars.

In their next game, the Hawks meet the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 29. Triton will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Bucks enter the match with a 8-4 record after their 65-20 non-league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC).
