Maryland High School Basketball - Glenelg Country can't hold off Archbishop Carroll
December 28, 2023: Ellicott City, MD 21042 The Archbishop Carroll Lions basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Glenelg Country Dragons to 61 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Lions now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverdale Baptist for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Archbishop Carroll will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 79-39 non-league win over Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD). The Crusaders record now stands at 13-5.
The Dragons (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD). The Cavaliers enter the MIAA A - Black contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Archbishop Spalding was nudged by Mount St. Joseph (Baltimore, MD), 56-46, in a league contest.
