Maine High School Basketball - Calais overwhelms Sumner
December 28, 2023: Calais, ME 04619 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) and the visiting Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME), saw Calais's basketball squad wallop Sumner by a tally of 60-25.
With the victory, Calais improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Machias (Machias, ME) to confront the Bulldogs in a C North challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Machias won 84-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Shead (Eastport, ME)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) in a C North challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Sumner will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Lynx come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 50-43 league win over Dexter (Dexter, ME).
