The Wallowa Cougars basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Elgin Huskies to 36 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Griswold for a 1A Old Oregon contest on Friday, December 29. Wallowa will meet a Grizzlies team coming off a 61-17 non-league loss to Sherman (Moro, OR). The Grizzlies record now stands at 0-5.

The Huskies (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Huntington (Huntington, OR). The Locomotives enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Huntington ran past Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR), 57-33, in a non-league contest.
